Organized and led discussions in Werner Lab’s weekly seminar series / journal club.

Presented and led discussion in the Matlab Users’ Group, Indiana University.

Attended annual Center for Adaptive Optics Professional Development Workshop, focused on inquiry-based science education. Led several groups of graduate students through day-long inquiry activities. Designed complete inquiry labs on polarized light and Fourier optics.

Taught weekly short courses (non-credit) for Indiana University’s Information Technology Services on many topics, including spreadsheet computing, HTML and web design, database design, and statistics software.

Independently taught several courses at Indiana University: X200 (scientific logic), M118 (finite mathematics), and M025 (pre-calculus). Designed and gave lectures, wrote and graded papers and exams.

Taught MCAT preparation courses for the Princeton Review. Taught full sixteen-week course 8 times. Curriculum, designed by Princeton Review, included undergraduate level physics, biology, chemistry, and organic chemistry.

Professional Service

Served on Vision & Color Technical Group of the OSA, planning sessions and speakers for the OSA Frontiers in Optics conference scheduled for October, 2015.

Moderated the poster session “Improving Imaging and Image Quantification” at the 2014 ARVO Annual Meeting.

Served on the steering committee of the Matlab Users’ Group. Discussed and chose topics for presentations, tailoring themes to the members’ interests and needs.

Reviewed multiple manuscripts for: Optics Letters, Investigative Ophthalmology and Vision Science, Optics Express, Biomedical Optics Express, Revisita Mexicana de Fisica.

Moderated the paper session “Cone Photoreceptor Structure & Function: Perspectives from Imaging” at the 2010 ARVO Annual Meeting.
